Equestrian
Club

The Equestrian Club is an active campus organization with over fifty members. Governed by a student executive board, the club holds weekly meetings, educational activities, social events, and participates in community service. The club is welcome to anyone with an interest in horses- members do not have to ride.

JMU Equestrian offers both a student-run club and a competitive team for students with varying equine interest levels. The two organizations are connected, as all IHSA team members are also involved in the club, though many club members do not ride. We pride ourselves on being a relaxed, supportive, and family-like club of friendly, horse-loving Dukes. Our common equine interests form lasting friendships and memories.

IHSA
Team

Club members interested in competing can try out for JMU's IHSA riding team. Experience is not needed to join the team- IHSA offers levels for beginners through advanced equestrians. Showing as a team is a unique and rewarding experience that fosters a strong, encouraging support system.
